Things found-out or confirmed just now, FYI:
(1.) To not wear a white shirt or a white T-shirt when having one's photos taken; solid colours only.
(2.) To buy the required two hardcopy prints PLUS the digital file of one's photos, just in case.
(3.) A photocopy of one's US STEM PhD will suffice for proof of English-language proficiency.
(4.) One can have more than one other nationality when applying for Canadian citizenship, so other Brozzies (Britishers/Aussies) on here can keep both (no need to renounce anything before applying for one's Canadian).
(5.) CIC/IRCC isn't sending-out any hardcopies of their application forms or guidelines; everything's got to be done online & printed-out.
(6.) We can open the letter we get back from the FBI to photocopy it for our own records, before attaching it (i.e., the original) to our Canadian citizenship applications and mailing it all in as one package.
(7.) eCAS is what we need to use to follow our citizenship application's progress/status (just need one's old PR UCI number to login), not either of the two (new?) login things which are spouted about on the CIC/IRCC website (i.e., the banking concierge thing or the GC thing, neither of which I remember from PR application days back in 2013).
Good luck to all! It's a great day.
