Hello Folks,

I saw that my application has reached NS on 12th June 2009. I assume it takes about 4-6 weeks from the date of receipt to get an acknowledgement. I had a few questions that I wanted to ask before I get an acknowledgement.

1. My designation is Operations Manager.[ NOC 0213 has one called Systems Operations Manager]. Does my designtion have to match to the one in NOC to the T?Also, I ve been a Ops Mgr only for the past 2.5 yrs out of my 8 yrs of experience. Do they take into account only the current role for consideration or does my past employment also come under the scanner.[ although i ve been in IT for the past 8 yrs ].

2. I ve managed to get the required funds only for the past say 1 month. I am yet to get an acknowledgement from CIC. Say in case I do get a positive reply, is 3 months of bank statement showing the required amount sufficient or do I need to show more than it?

3. What if I had a change in organization after I have sent my initial set of papers. Is it alright if I switch jobs? Will the CIC accept the change in the second set of documents?

your designation needs not to match exactly the same. this is your duties that matter. they will take into account the complete employment for the points calculation.

three months seems sufficient. there are examples of people who sent only one month statement and got approved.

no problem in switching jobs. where required, make changes in the second set of document and explain the changes in the cover letter.
