Got an email that said :
Please disclose the relationship status with your former
partner . If you were married, you must provide a certificate of divorce.

Common law partner. Never were married. We are not together.

So is it okay if I just put, relationship ended & no longer are together??

You might want to more details than that, but along those lines if that's your situation. Sounds like they are questioning it. So be as direct as possible.

A Marriage Certificate is little proof in reality. Reason being there is a lot of marriage of convenience. Especially if it was a common law relationship that you ended prior to getting married.

Also some relationships continue despite getting married. They are probably wanting to make sure it's over.

If you were common-law, you were probably supposed to provide a Declaration of severance of common-law relationship. If you already did then you can just state you were only common-law.
