I applied online for citizenship on July 2024.
My LPP is complete as of december 2024. Now I receive the oath scheduling for december 2025.
Why such a long wait? is it usual? can I do something about it as from end to end this far exceeds the standard processing time.

@forw.jane . . . something appears to be off. Even though I have not been closely following information about routinely processed applications for a long while (my activity focuses on a few particular issues), scheduling the oath nearly a year away is obviously an oddity, a big oddity.
So the first thing to do is make the effort to verify the scheduled date, first trying a telephone call to the help centre (getting through can require much patience and persistence, as I believe you have already experienced; maybe try at different times of the day) or a webform query.
@armoured also suggested using your MP but you should be able verify the December 2025 date without going through the MP; probably better to wait, to save going through the MP's office until you
FOR SURE know the oath is actually scheduled next December and you need the MP's assistance to prod (MPs have no real authority or say in these matters) IRCC to schedule the oath sooner.
I have seen that you have previously obtained a copy of your GCMS records. It is not clear why you did that; a bit impatient perhaps? But it appears you know how to go about that, and if you cannot positively verify the scheduled date for the oath otherwise, through a telephone call or webform (you can do both I believe) that should be another way to verify that the oath is scheduled next December.
That's the main thing,
verify the date. Again, that seems off, off in the sense that something is amiss or not right.
But you should be sure of your facts before you act on them. Leading to . . .
Even though the oath is scheduled, given the situation, I am thinking to cancel my application and start all over.
A new application stands chance to land in mid 2025 than waiting till Dec 2025 with current oath schedule.

I believe there is an apropos proverb:
a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Worth considering even though, so it seems, proverbs get little respect these days, maybe because the exceptions get all the attention (no shortage of reports here, loud and persistent reports even, "
I did X and it went great, so it is OK to do X," like someone might say "
I had a bird in hand, but went after and got three in the bush," with little or no appreciation that their experience was an exception and despite their success the odds are it will not go that way for most others).
And "
a chance" is way shy of what is likely, and nowhere near the gate to the ballpark of guarantees.
In the context of citizenship application processing, in particular, be aware that the routine processing timeline IRCC publishes is about most applications, most routine applications. Many forget that "
most" can mean just one more than half. That leaves room for many, and many by a lot, to not sail through so quickly. Much longer timelines are very commonly reported here.
Bottom-line: verify if the oath is scheduled for December. If so, then deal with how to go about getting IRCC to move it up. Frankly, a December oath date at this time is so odd my bet is that is NOT what is scheduled.
