There is a decent market, get some BPEL and SOA experience as well, that will help a lot. If you are looking for purely contracting gigs, then might be tough to support through out the year. I know few consultants who only do contracting, but they travel to US more often, just Canadian market is not big enough.
Deloitte and Accenture will have always have few positions open, support jobs in existing implementation will come up from time to time.
