Hi All,

I am starting a new topic for Indian CAs or US CPAs.......As I am myself an Indian CA and US CPA applied for immigration to Canada.

Please share your inputs as to how an Indian CA or a US CPA can find a job in Canada....

Also if any of you have some information about some job consultant who can arrange/provide info about prospective employers in Canada.

I hope this will help our fraternity....

Thanks & Regards

Hi mates

I am indian CA working in middle east.
Are you planning to do CGA there or MBA finance?

Hi Pshhe,

Where are you working in India? I plan to work there.....want to do Canadian CA as well....not so much clear on that....what about you...

Regards,

In Mumbai..Pl can you mail your email id ..i am interested in Canadian CA rather than CGA so need to clarify doubts....

Thanks..

hi ,

As far as my knowledge is concern,

to become a candian CA you require to clear two subjects to be eligible for UFE .( As per MOU between ICAI & CICA)
US CPA are exempted from this. They just require to appear and clear UFE.

Article clerkship is compulsory, which is for 3 years.

Hi honeyjack,

I think you are correct..never came accross anything where they have mentioned that articleship will be waived..but do you know if the institute helps in finding the firms/companies to start with..or how do we go about it...do you have people in the same profession in Canada?..

Hi Pshhe,

As soon as you will your residency permit in your hand you always can search for firms, I think below are the best ways:

1. Association of CA of India in Canda
2. ICAI
3. Ofcourse the CICA

but you have to be registered before this process. So don't worry look for Indian CA's who are in canada and they are also having the same designation there. i have one contact Mr. Mukesh Parekh who is in toronto and practicing CA in canada. I will try to contact him , he is a senior person.

He is from Surat, Gujarat.

Hi

I am a CA India and CPA, USA. Do you think I have to still do the articleship? If I have to do then is it remunerative i.e. how much article clerks used to get.

Your advise is highly appreciated.
