Job title on reference letter

Hi Experts,

For my previous experience from India, I'm about to ask my employer to send me a reference letter today but I am concerned which title he should use on reference letter as my duties are more aligned with NOC code 1311- Bookkeeper but I was hired with title of Accountant. I was also putting Accountant while applying for study permit and work permit.
Please advise if I should ask him to use Accountant or Bookkeeper.

Also, please advise if reference letter can be current dated or back dated (the time when I left company)

Job title would be the one you held at that company, and the letter should describe the tasks you performed there.

The letter should be dated the day it is written, and include the dates (start & end) that you worked at that company.
