Job title is in NOC C but duties are in NOC B. Can I claim this job experience?

Hello. My title for one of the jobs is test operator. Any operator is in noc c. However, noc 2241 is written by employer and duties are also matching with 2241. I know that title is not important in cic. But I am confused. My pay is also minimum wage. Can I claim this experience? Following is my letter



This letter will serve to confirm that xxxx was a full-time permanent employee, employed by xxxxx from xxxxx to xxxxx.
His job title was Test Operator. This was a full-time position offering 37.5 hours per week. xxxxx earned an hourly wage of 14.00/hr. xxxxx's position is classified under NOC 2241, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technician.

His responsibilities included but are not limited to:

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
  • Carries out complex testing, requiring multiple loads and where product and process differentiation is required to assist in fault determination.
  • Conducts product inspection or testing, documenting as required, according to specific procedures.
  • Independently provide support to the Manufacturing Team Lead.
  • Identifies and articulates problems or issues for Technical Support or Manufacturing Engineering, and assists in gathering the information and proof necessary to establish the root cause and determine corrective action.
  • Recognizes discrepancies in documentation or problems with quality, product or process, and recommends changes.
  • Uses a variety of current software to properly execute required computer transactions, such as SFDC and Excel.
  • Orders and ensures any printed labels are correct and transacted to the correct planned order on tracker.
  • Assists engineers or technicians by gathering requested information to help establish the root cause of problems, and determines corrective action.
  • Works with Engineering to implement continuous improvement.
  • Identifies and articulates corrective action requirements.
  • Records data on a daily basis.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and performance standards.





NOC 2241 duties are listed below.

  • Assist in the design, development and testing of electrical and electronic components, equipment, and systems
  • Assist in inspection, testing, adjusting and evaluation of incoming electrical, electro-mechanical and electronic components and assemblies to ensure conformance with product specifications and tolerances
  • Conduct life tests (burn-ins) on assemblies and record and analyze results
  • Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications
  • Carry out a limited range of technical functions in support of research in electrical and electronic engineering and physics
  • Install, operate and maintain electrical and electronic equipment and systems
  • Calibrate electrical or electronic equipment and instruments according to technical manuals and written instructions
  • Collect and compile operational or experimental data and assist in the preparation of estimates, schedules, budgets, specifications and reports.

You can certainly try. The fact you are only being paid minimum wage may end up being a problem. IRCC may end up determining that you cannot claim this work experience under NOC B since you are only being paid minimum wage.

It's really difficult to say what will happen since your salary is so low.
