Job switch and spouse work history

Hi @Bryanna

I have couple of questions regarding my PR application.

1) I have not claimed any points for my spouse's work history in my express entry profile. Since I have not claimed any points for the Work History part, I am planning to keep that section with the answer No, but the still mention the relevant details in the Personal History. Will this approach cause any issue.

2) If I have an open work permit, and I am taking a Job Letter from my present employer (for which I am getting 50 points), can I switch jobs(my present company) while my PR Application is still in progress. I am asking this question since I am getting the points because of the job letter from my present employer.

No Issue...

Not clear. Do you mean changing positions with your current employer, or leaving your current employer to go to a different employer?

Assuming you are eligible for the 50 points for a job offer (not clear - see DelPiero's question), and you leave the employer that has given you the valid job offer, of course the offer is no longer valid and you would lose the points.

But if you are on an open work permit and don't have an LMIA, you aren't eligible for those points anyway.

I don't have LMIA . it was a transfer to a subsidiary for which I initially got a closed work permit which now became open work permit on extension since I had applied for my PR
Have you already submitted your PR application? (Also not clear from your original post). Are you on a BOWP?

yes , I have submitted my PR application and I am on bridge open work permit
So, when you applied and claimed a valid job offer, you were on an LMIA-approved work permit, is that correct?
