Job search post Work Visa stamping (Canada)

Hi All,

Got my work visa recently which is for 2 years in Canada, However the project i am supposed to work got withdrawn. Now i just have the Visa in my hand and i am yet to fly to Canada.

What is the best way to find a job? do i resign from the current company once i reach Canada?

Is your permit a closed work permit for a specific company meaning that with that permit you cannot work for anyone else ?
