Job Prospects with a Diploma in Hospitality management

Hi everyone,

I'm a 25 years old Indian, trying to immigrate to Canada. My agent recommended me to study an one-year-program Certificate or 2 year diploma in Hospitality Management in college. He reckons the Job Prospects are good in this industry.
I just wanted to know

1. how true this is
2. which course would do be good (in getting a job and pay), the one year certificate of a 2 year diploma.
3. an approximate pay that i could expect when I get to work in the hospitality industry.
