Hello. I have got admission in concordia for masters program and i will be applying for visa in MAY. i wanted to ask is it necessary to attach a payslip if i show the embassy that i m currently working with some organization. My 2nd question is it really required to show that you are having a job in your country? if i don't then how much will it weaken my case?

If you could attach your payslip then its okay, else it is not mandatory to work or be a job holder before applying your visa. If you have acceptance letter and proper fund, you are good to go :)

Hi schizo2,

If you are doing a job, and can submit the salary slips then it is good. If not, then there is no need to invent a job for this. CHC checks back with the company and you might get in trouble if you try to create a fake job or certificate.

However, if you have a gap in your studies, you can mention that is a separate SOP. They read the SOP very carefully to understand the motive and usually that is sufficient for them.

I'd heard answer to this question in a seminar organized by CH CNew Delhi and the response was from a Visa Officer. They said that a job is not required to apply for a study Visa.

Thanks,
GS
