Job opportunities in banks

My wife is Russian and went to university in Russia for economics. We are going to begin the process soon to move to Canada. I am curious though, if she will be able to get another job working in a bank in Canada.

Do Canadian banks hire foreign people? Is her Russian degree accepted in Canada?

Unfortunately no. I work in a big bank myself. Job situation is pretty bad for locals, let alone people with foreign degrees. She would have to get a local degree here if she wants to work.
