Job offer with a valid closed work permit for 1+ year

Hi,

Need some guidance regarding whether to claim points for valid job offer. Can i claim this by submitting supporting documents. I have the copy of letter signed by my company attorney to canada immigration requesting a work permit for 3 years and is approved. I have my offer letter which states i have been employed with my employer from last September. Also, as mentioned my closed work permit is valid for almost another 1.5 years. To add, its a LMIA exempt job

You must have worked for the employer named on your WP for at least one year before you qualify for job offer points in an LMIA exempt situation. Once you've worked there for a year you will need a job offer letter from the employer named on the WP (an offer of full time employment for at least one year after you become a PR).

Does this needs to be in Canada? I am in the same situation and on closed work permit manager position but later this year I will be transferring back to the U.S. but will be working for the same employer in the same position. I gave a job offer but in the US would that count as job offer from the company after they issue an PR to claim as valid job offer after PR working for sane company in the US? Please help.
