Job offer in Skill Level 00

Hi All,

I’m currently working as Sr. Full Stack Developer in a Closed Work Permit with an LMIA

I have cleared an interview and expecting an offer for the Software Development Manager position.

I have an active express entry profile, with a score of 397.

In Express Entry, I have 50 points for having a job offer with LMIA in Skill Level A.

However, I could see the Software Development Manager position will fall under Skill Level 00,

Which will give me 200 points instead of 50 points and increase my score to 547

My question is :

#1: Is my assumption is correct?

#2. Do I need LMIA for the upcoming Job Offer to make the change in the Express Entry?

Or Just an offer is enough to do so?

#3. If LMIA is not needed, after getting ITA, can I apply for an open work permit and do a job change?

Development manager won't be 00.

00 is for top level / very senior executives like CFOs, CEOs, etc.

To answer your question, you would need a new LMIA if you want to try to claim points for having an 00 job. But again, this definitely doesn't sound like an 00 job to me.
