My wife is Canadian. I'm American. We're looking to relocate back to Alberta. Sponsorship for me, by her is what we've been looking at. She already has a job offer from her previous employer (banking). I think it would take approx 7-8 months for us to go that route. I just spoke with a company to whom I sent my resume and they're interested in me due to my educational background/experience (20+ years). With us visiting in August and talking with the company, is getting a job offer from this company the fastest way to relocate? We're currently near Seattle. Looking at the CIC website, Seattle currently displays a maximum of 28 days for temporary work visa. Is this better/faster than going the sponsorship route? And less expensive?
Thanks for the response.

1. If the employer is able to get a Labour Market Opinion from HRSDC (No Canadians nor PRs available for the job) salary meets local wages, no strike in progress and they can demonstrate they have advertised extensively for the position, then you may be able to get the work permit. it only allows you to work in Canada, your spouse is still going to have to sponsor you if you wish to remain permanently in Canada.
