Hi all,
My partner lost her job due to covid and now we need a letter of support for finances from her parents. As we can no longer prove employment income.

I have two questions.

1. Should the letter of Basic Needs support from parents say that they are willing to support me financially even if we were to break up? As I understand it the Basic Needs undertaking states that my partner needs to support me if need be for up to 3 years even if we break up? I’m not sure how to word this in the letter?

2. We lived at their place for a few months during our cohabitation period does this mean we’ll need the following 3 letters?

Letter 1: Letter of Support (For letters from friends and family section)
Letter 2: Financial Basic Needs Support
Letter 3: Cohabitation Letter Confirmation (saying we stayed there rent free etc.)

Or do we just need one letter coverings all the above?

Thank you!

You don't need to prove employment. Savings is enough. You have to show that you won't need financial suport from the government.
