For express entry, I know I'd need at least 1 year of continuous full time, paid work (or equivalent in part time) in the same NOC level (0,A,B). My question is: would that job experience have to be related to my major? or as long as it is in the same NOC level, it would e counted for PR points calculations?
My situation is, I'm planning to move to Canada to study (masters) from the US. My bachelor's degree is in Mechanical Engineering and I'm planning to get admission in a Canadian university in Master of Management/Information Systems/something that's not related to Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, I'd need to gain 1 year of minimum work experience before I could apply for express entry. In this case, after graduation, the work that I'll be doing under PGWP - would it have to be related to my masters degree? or as long as it is in the same NOC level, full time, paid and continuous, regardless of the relation with my major of study, it would be counted for PR point considerations?
Thanks in advance.
