Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi everyone,

Brief history - I've been in Canada since 2012 working on an ICT TWP which expires in April. I applied for CEC PR but had it returned due to the 8000 cap. I have now submitted an EE profile but with my TWP being LMIA exempt, I have 411 points which means I am unlikely to be selected before my permit runs out. I'm going to apply for a TWP extension in April (to at least give me an extra couple of months Implied Status) but there's a chance the extension may be rejected (long story).

So, my company have started the process to apply for an LMIA and have started to advertise my position. However, when they tried to advertise my job on the Job Bank, they were not able to do it under my code, NOC 0601 Corporate Sales Managers, as it isn't available in the drop down box.

They've selected the next best code 061 Sales, Marketing and Advertising Managers instead but technically this isn't my code. Due to running out of time, I need to minimise any problems or issues that may delay the LMIA application/my new LMIA-supported WP application (assuming they get it) but I don't know what I can do here.

Any ideas why a NOC code that qualifies for CEC would not be supported on the Job Bank....or is it another error? And will this conflict between the NOC code the job is advertised under and the NOC code that I need to apply under cause me a problem?

GROAN... so it looks like ESDC is still using NOC v. 2006 version on jobbank -
http://www.esdc.gc.ca/eng/jobs/lmi/noc//index.shtml

Although the NOC has been updated, many organizations and federal government departments, including ESDC's Job Bank and Working in Canada (WiC) websites, will continue to use the NOC 2006 version for the next few years. The rationale for this decision is that it will take some time to convert the databases as well as to collect the labour market information, and to make the transition to NOC 2011.

It's not particularly helpful when CIC uses NOC v. 2011.

It looks like NOC 061 is the corresponding NOC for v2006, but that 2006 NOC got divided into to different ones for 2011.

It appears your employer has no choice but to use the NOC 061...
