Job Bank Advertisement timeline

Hello all,

If we want to create Job advertisement in jobbank.gc.ca how much time will it take to get it posted which includes creating new account till it is posted online. Also please share the LMIA processing time for a job with hourly salary of $46. Will it fall under high wage earners category? Please help me with your inputs. Thanks for your help and support.

Processing time is very difficult to guess. Even if you meet the requirements for the high wage category - this doesn't guarantee the LMIA will be processed within a few weeks. We've seen plenty of people here in the high wage category wait four months to hear a decision.

The job bank advertisement has to be valid until the decision is made. You have to advertise the job at least for 30 days on Job bank, and at least 2 other websites also( Indeed, Monster, Workopolis...) for 30 days before you can apply for a LMIA. Only the he job bank advertisement has to be valid until the final decision. The processing time is unpredictable even if it is a high wage occupation. I got my LMIA in 10 days even it was not high wage, not a demand occupations. Many people have to wait more than 3 months to get LMIA. Nobody knows why...
