On Feb 1st I sent my PR application and on Feb 4th they sent me a letter, requesting my wife's Japanese PCC until April 4th. Since the Japanese Consulate was in another city, and we were in Carnival season in Brazil, I could only apply for the PCC on Feb 12th and they said it would take around 2 months.
I've already sent a CSE, asking for a time extension (I attached a copy of the application form and a copy of an email sent by the consulate, stating the 2 months they need), but the only answer I got was that my information was forwarded to the responsible department and my deadline is still April 4th on MyCIC.
I didn't apply for the PCC in advance, because I needed CIC request letter to do this.
Knowing that this is the last week that I could get the PCC before the end of my deadline, do you have any advice for me? Are they gonna close my case if they don't receive the PCC, even after my explanation on why I couldn't get it on time?
The only solution that I could think of is to upload on MyCIC account the same documents I've already sent them on the CSE (app. form and email), along with a LoE, and let them know that I'll send the PCC as soon as I have it.
