Hi everyone!
I am a Japanes Canadian and applied outland in Japan for sponsorship of my Japanese partner in Decemer 2013. In January 2014, I decided to move back to Vancouver, and she also came along as a visitor to be with me.
As you may know, Japan is a visitor visa exempt country. It has been six months since she's been in Canada. Recently, she has successfully extended her visitor status for another 6 months until the end of December 2014.
In the past, when visiting the United States from Vancouver under the UVWP (US Visa Waiver Program), all she needs to do is fill out an I-94 form + pay $6 USD and she can visit the states and re-enter Canada w/o any issues.
However... After receiving her recent extension, we noticed that the visa form says at the bottom that "This is not authorize re-entry".
(Similar to this just above the Canada logo:
)
I'm assuming this is only applies for countries other than the United States.
According to this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=417&t=16&y=1&s=1 am I correct that it doesn't apply for entry to the United States?
We're worried that if she enters the US she won't be able to come back in to Canada. From the link above, I understand that it's not an issue. I just want to clarify this.
Thanks!
