Do they also send test/oath invites through email or these generally are through phone or snail mail?

No consistency in their approach.... all depends on local offices... always make it a point to check your ecas status online regularly... make sure to check all the line items in your online ecas account... there are few guys from last year who had neither got email nor snail mail, but their ecas account showed Test invite and they had missed attending test, as they didn’t check their ecas accounts..

Can we check application status with out AOR? I sent in April and scared they received or not as Canada post stopped taking signature on Delivery

You won’t see anything in Ecas till u receive the aor.

I think , that’s where the whole issue was...Sydney ,NS office stopped working.. your file has to be physically mailed to your local office.. then your application status becomes ‘In Process’... they issued AOR in your case, but lock down happened before sending your file to local office.... so your file status stuck at ‘ app received’... now that they are back, they will send out the applications to corresponding local offices and then ideally, electronic processing activities shall start... big relief now that we know that sydney office is back to work.... though NS and other Maritime provinces didn’t had many cases, these fed workers didn’t start working before... now, atleast they are back to office...

So are saying for those of us in the GTA that our local office will be in the Toronto area?
