Just an update incase anyone else applied in Jan 2017 inland for PR by common law sponsorship.
My girlfriend and I (she is the principal applicant, I am a Cad citizen) applied in January of 2017. In Feb 14, 2017, we received a notification that we had to fill in a new background check (the one we sent did not have the validate buttons).
Last week, April 27, 2017 she was given the OWP. Now the next step is to obtain the SIN from a Service Canada office.
Question:
When we applied I was not working, we were living in Europe for a year and recently returned. Now I am working at the Canadian Post office. The work is temp, I am wondering if I should update it to our profile? I have another job offer in July that is perm, but dont know if it will backtrack us, since we are adding new documents? On a side note, my father did write a letter of full support.
What are your thoughts?
