Hi everyone,
I have sent my H&C application weeks ago and it has been out for delivery for over 3 days now.
I called Canada Post and they said that for government offices, if its "out for delivery" then that means its actually delivered, and the status will not update to delivered. This is for places where they receive a lot of mail in bulk and it needs to be sorted.

Has anyone had this experience with Vancouver H&C office or any similar establishment?
With H&C, I can't sit and wait for several months to get an AOR to confirm whether they really got my file or not... will be too late incase its not delivered. Is there any way to check this?
Am freaking out a bit as I am on a time crunch and it has original documents that I had to courier and get made from another country and its a lengthy process too (and very expensive!)

Canada post is lying, if it’s delivered they do write delivered sometimes they forget to update. Its better to call where ever you sent it ask them

Any idea how I can call the h&c office in Vancouver to confirm if its received?

I think you need to call ircc and they can tell you if they got it or not

Next time don’t use Canada post for those important documents. Use a courier company that you can have up to date information on your package.

Yes I'm very unhappy about it..just cant figure out what to do at this stage? Wait another week or two and then resend if no update? How long can it take to get an AOR incase it might just have been a scanning issue?

I never used any other courier except Canada post for sensitive information. I have seen cases where other couriers delay packages. Why would IRCC certify Canada post for epost service?

There is nothing wrong with using Canada Post, I have used them lots too. Sometimes they don't scan final delivery. Thats why I have been telling him call IRCC and check if they have got it or not

Yes am planning to call Tuesday..but it's just been 1 week from when it should have been delivered..is there any way that IRCC will have any information within 1 week already or will I just be wasting my time? The problem is due to visa status expired we are already on time crunch.

ask Canada post who sighned it if it was delivered you need to know this information. Secondly make a claim with Canada post. If it is delivered indeed they will know who sighned it

call ircc and give them the tracking information and ask them if they received it
