Italy visa time

hi everyone

i have a couple of questions i sponsored my hubby from Greece his visa office is rome italy i want to know how long do they take to stamp visa after passport request he sent his on june 19 but v did not hear back anything yet n second is if they ask for passport does that mean visa is issued for sure or there still can be interview

1. There is no specific time. It should be soon though.
2. This depends on the visa office. Some ask for the passport very early in processing, and a passport request does not mean a visa will be issued for sure, and there might still be an interview.
For Italy, though, the passport request means they are planning to issue a visa. Something might come up to derail this, but most likely there will be no interview and the visa will be issued soon.
