Guys,

Just a question regarding CEC. I got ITA to apply for PR under CEC. But i have also applied PNP as International student with job offer on 29th Dec, 2016.
In this scenario, Do I need to update ontario nominee program that I got the invitation under express entry?

Thanks in advance

As far as i know your category of PNP doesn't fall under under the OPNP, so you say no for that, else you would get extra 600 points for which you should provide your OPNP which is based on human capital.

Getting a PNP now will not change anything for you. You have your ITA under CEC.

If possible withdraw your OPNP application so someone else can get that nomination.

Just to be clear, your PNP application is non-express entry. Do you mean you submitted your application to the PNP program, or you already received the PNP nomination and submitted your PNP application to IRCC on Dec 29? (traditional processing, non-EE).

If you are just now applying to the PNP program, you can withdraw (if you want). If you have already gotten the non-EE PNP nomination and have applied to IRCC, you have two choices. You can allow the application to proceed - you are permitted to have applications to different programs at the same time. Of course you will have to pay the fees again. The advantage is, if something goes wrong with the EE application, you still have that one to fall back on.

OR, if you want, you can ask IRCC to return / withdraw the application. It's likely the envelope hasn't even been opened yet, you might be able to get the application fee returned.
