I'm an inland CEC applicant and I did everything myself and obtained PPR with no help from any lawyer. I think hiring a lawyer is a waste of money since everything is quite straightforward. Your work experience should count where ever in Canada it was (I think Quebec has a slightly different thing going on), as long as your jobs fall under the NOC 0, A or B categories and they all add up to at least 1 year full-time job or equivalent hours in part time.
