Hi All,
My employment in Canada began on June 3rd, 2023. Due to a misunderstanding, I submitted my PR application on May 19th, 2024, mistakenly believing that I had met the one-year work experience requirement. Given that my work load is 40 hrs/week, while the IRCC requires only 30 hrs/week as full time job requirement, I thought that on May 19th, 2024 I have completed more than the one year experience. I was unaware that only 30 hours per week of work experience is counted toward this one year work experience. I did not recognize that mistake till I received the invitation to apply for PR on July 17th, 2024, which is after I had actually completed one year of qualifying work experience. So I am confused should I decline the invitation or submit the application along with a cover letter explaining the mistake in my initial calculation and apologizing for the inconvenience.
Please let me know your advices, as this extremely critical for me.
Thanks in advance!!!!
