Hi All,

I was invited under CEC stream. However, When I filled all the my details after getting ITA (under CEC) , I see under preview my score it says that Met for FSW only (i.e. not CEC) in "Programs for which you have met minimum entry requirements" section. Does anyone experience this in past ? it is normal ?

Thanks,
HJ

Hi,
Just check to make sure there is no difference in the info filled prior to ITA and after ITA.
Also check if there is any change in status which can effect. For example employment letter etc

Check the work experience section for your Canadian employment to see if there are any errors. In particular, review the questions at the end that ask about your student status, work permit status etc. to be sure you answered correctly.

Hi There

Thanks much for your replies!

Now I am wondering could it be because of the last three years criteria ?

My ITA date was 29th Oct 2018 and my work experience was between Sep 2013 - July 2016.
If I go back three years from ITA date which is 29th Oct 2015 and count the experience from there then there is it is 3 months shy (i.e. 9 months) or in other words it would be 12 months if the experience would have been with end date as Oct 2016.

Unfortunately, I have submitted my application now in waiting state. My score was 455 at the time of submission and eligibility was there(at least FSW).The only gap I see is that I have not provided proof of means, instead provide LOE saying that I was invited under CEC.

Any suggestions or thoughts are welcome.

Again appreciate your support.

Thanks
HJ

Hi All,

I am planning to post a query on the IRCC web portal (https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx). Can any one suggest if this is the right approach ? If so, could you please suggest the information below is okay to post or any revision is required ?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I was invited under CEC stream. However, When I filled all my details after getting ITA (under CEC), I see under preview my score it says that I only “met” for FSW (i.e. not CEC) in "Programs for which you have met minimum entry requirements" section. Currently, I had submitted my application (paid fees etc) with all the documentation in accordance with my invite (i.e. CEC) as I thought this is correct process.

However, after consulting with few friends, it appears that it could result in application refusal. Therefore, I want to clarify which class I qualify under? as I didn’t change anything related to my experience since I filled the application for the first time.

My Canadian experience was between 7th September 2013 to 22nd July 2016 and I received ITA on Oct 29,2018.

Please advise if I should withdraw my application or proceed with the same as based on the information on the portal it is not clear to me what should I do.

Please help !!

Thanks
HJ

You do not meet the eligibility criteria of the CEC program as you do not possess a year of Canadian work experience within the last 3 years.

You must meet the minimum entry qualifications (MEQ) both at the time of the ITA and at the time you submit your eAPR. (This means, the minimum of one year of Canadian experience to qualify for the CEC Class). You don't say when you submitted your eAPR, but yes, since that one year must be within the past 3 years, and your experience is expiring on a daily basis, that it is quite possible that you lost your eligibility for the CEC class between the dates of the ITA and eAPR. But looks like you were probably not eligible at the time of the ITA either, but because the profile only asks for MM/YYYY instead of MM/DD/YYYY, the system gave it to you...

Hopefully, you can meet the proof of funds requirement. I suggest submitting that via a case-specific enquiry, along with your explanation that your ITA was originally for CEC class... I can't say I've ever heard of this happening before, so I can't stay for sure if IRCC will accept it. The alternative would be to withdraw your application, and start over by submitting a new profile (knowing the ITA will be for FSW).

Hi All,

First of all thank you for your valuable replies!

I believe it could be either something related to technical or some typo from my end. Therefore, as per recommendation on the forum. I have requested an application withdrawal. I hope this won't impact any next application.

Again thanks much for your help, I wish I could have posted the question earlier.

Thanks,
HJ

Hi Guys,

After I submitted a request for withdrawal. CIC come back with below reply which I don't understand could you please help ? what should I do next ?

Good day ,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The Express Entry (EE) system ranks candidates in the pool using their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The system ranks all candidates based on the information provided in their profile (skills and experience).

If you update the information in your EE profile, the CRS will update your score. If your situation has changed since the invitations were sent, your new score will not be considered anymore for that round.

After verifying the information provided, we noticed that for your EE profile submitted on submitted on October 19, 2018 the score was updated after the invitation round was made. For this reason, the new score from when your profile was updated on December 10, 2018 wasn't applied to the recent invitation round. We invite you to wait for a future round of invitation in order for the new score to be applicable.

For the invitation round of October 29, 2018, the CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate invited was 442. If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time the candidate submitted their EE profile. For this round of invitation, the tie-breaking cut-off date was October 16, 2018.

If you still wish to withdraw your application, we invite you to fill out the IRCC Web form available on our website.

Please include the following information:

  • Complete name,
  • Unique Client Identifier (UCI), if you have one,
  • Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD),
  • Country of birth,
  • Complete address (including the postal code),
    • if the residential address is different from the mailing address, please provide both addresses,
  • Telephone number,
    • if you have more than one contact number, please provide them all,
  • Application type,
  • Date you sent your application,
  • (If applicable) Online application reference number,
  • A copy of the e-payment receipt or a copy of both sides of the payment receipt form (IMM 5401), and
  • The reason to withdraw your application or cancel your withdrawal request.
The office will determine whether a withdrawal (or cancellation of a withdrawal request) of the application is possible, and issue a refund, if applicable.

Rest assured that we will communicate with you if further information is required.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

We would also like to suggest the following online services that might be helpful to you with any immigration, refugee and/or citizenship future requests:

Sincerely,
