Hi All,

I have queries as following - I am expecting ITA in next draw based on my CRS:

Profile: MEng Canada – 3 years of foreign experience – 0 Canadian experience – CRS 480

1. Instead of 3 years of experience, I want to show only 1 year of experience: Reason: this will avoid to arrange so many documents and will ease processing as well . As in 3 years I have worked for 4 employers in total. Now, I came here as student in Sep-2016 and that time I showed all of my previous experiences (3 years). What reason should I provide now to remove other 2 years of experience? Any negative? Reason is going to be stated via Letter of Explanation?

2. I am Civil Engineer by profession. I worked as “Planning engineer”. There is NOC “Civil Engineer” but its roles & responsibilities does not match well to what i were used to do. But there is NOC “Construction Manager”, its roles matches much to my experience. In that case, can I have different job title to NOC but similar roles? What matters the most job title or roles or both? How much match should be there between roles with NOC?

3. For job experience, which documents should I need to provide:

a. Offer letter

b. Pay stubs (all of 12 months?)

c. Reference letter – mentioning job title, working hours/week, duration & roles – responsibilities

d. Any tax document needs to be shown?

e. I have an old bank statement in which pay is debited every month , is it good to provide that?

4. I am in Canada since Sep-2016/Montreal. Moved to Toronto in April 2018 after completing study, do I need to provide PCC from here as well – how can I get that?

5. I have worked part time in these 2 years, as a student, do I need to provide tax documents?

...
Thanks,

Thanks,
1. You will be given a personal history option in your eAPR form after ITA. You will mention those two years there. Your information will be counted as consistent. No documents required for personal history.

2. Job duties must match the lead statement and substantial number of duties mentioned in selected NOC. Job title does not matter at all.

3.
a. Optional but good if you provide
b. Optional but highly recommended
c. MUST Provide
d. Optional but highly recommended
e. Optional but good if you provide

4. Canadian PCC not required but you must provide other country PCC where you have resided 6 months in a row in the past 10 years or since your 18th birthday and it must be obtained after your last departure date before your PR application submission date.
Provide all addresses (montreal and toronto) in address history.

5. Not required but must mention in personal history.

Hope it helps!

Thanks, yes it is helpful.
So, as during study visa in 2016, i provided my title as "Planning Engineer" during filling the personal history section on application. And now, i am going to claim points for that 1 year of experience only. And after your answer as above, i can go with NOC title "Construction Manager" as its roles matches well with what i used to do. Should i keep the job title same as original "Planning Engineer" or i should use the actual title of NOC?
If the title of NOC is to be used, in that case i believe , i need to explain why i changed my title on reference letter now from "Planning Engineer" to "Construction Manager".

Thanks again,

Job title does not matter at all only duties matters but you cannot make up things to match noc. Keep your original title otherwise you may find yourself in trouble if IRCC decides to do extra verification for your job. Mention 1 year in work expeience section and put other 2 years in personal history.

Good Luck!

Understood it well.
Pre-ITA, i will mention one job only (1 year experience) - matching with NOC job roles.
Post ITA: i will mention my all work history and needs to provide all relevant documents for 1 year claimed experience only.
.
One thing which i missed in my earlier post, i am doing a job since April 2018 here in Canada and that is in my Primary occupation ("Construction Manager"). So, i should mention it as my current job Pre-ITA in work history? With the fact that my Canadian experience is only 4 months, so i am not claiming any points for that, but still i do need to provide info about my current employer while filling EE profile? Or it can be provided Post-ITA in personal history?

Thanks,

Any thing you will put in work history or education history, you will be asked to provide documents post ITA. So if you are not claiming points for these 4 months Canadian experience you should not put this in work hostory, instead put them in personal history. It is expected to have over lapped activities in Personal history (i. e study and work for same period) so don't worry about it.

Also before you create profile make sure you check that you are scoring fsw eligibility 67 points with 1 year work experience, otherwise you won't be able to create profile. In that case you may have to show 3 years experience to get 67 eligibility points. Search "6 selection factors" to understand it properly.

Thanks, It is helpful. In summary:

- Pre-ITA - EE Profile : I will not add current employment & all 3 years of foriegn experience. I will add only 1 year of work experience for which i want to claim points.
Do i have "personal history" section pre-ITA? As i cant see it. So in that case, any of the above information will be skipped at this time and will only be provided after ITA and in personal history section.
- i understand your point regarding FSW eligibility and will make sure that i fulfill the requirement.
- And i worked as planning engineer (junior position), still i am fine to go with "construction manager" NOC , irrespective of the fact that it is senior position. But its roles matches more to what i have done.
Does this experience is fine (i totally understand, that i am fine to use same planning engineer title with roles as of NOC), but const. Manager NOC has educational & "several years of experience" requirement. Still i am fine to go with that? - having just 1 year of expreince only (used to claim points).

.
Sorry to bother again, but i wanted to make sure, i am heading in right direction as this is a critical stage.

No personal history at ITA stage. Here you are only scoring points so things that are not related to crs points not included here.

Regarding employment requirements: "Note:The applicant does not need to demonstrate that they meet the “employment requirements” listed in the NOC occupational description."

Thanks a Ton. It was really helpful to discuss the subject with you. You have been of an amazing help.

Pre-ITA = All education + 1 year foreign experience (only against which points are claimed)
Post ITA = Proof of above - for which the points are claimed + in personal history i will provide info about all 3 years of foreign exp + Canadian current employment - 4 months + any student part time job which i did
....

Primary occupation: 0711 : Will use the job title as actual (Planning Engineer). While filling EE profile, it asks the month/year when i became eligible for this NOC - I will add the date , when i completed my Bsc Civil engineering degree - Fine?
There is a section "RESEARCH" in work history stage, while filling EE profile-Pre-ITA: There are questions asked:
1. Have you looked for a job in Canada ......and ask to choose best option from dropdown --> I selected "i am already working in Canada (in my occupation)". Is it ok ? or should i select something else from "YES/NO".
2. Have you checked that your education & exp in your primary occupation is accepted in Canada --> What should be the ans? If yes, then it offers various options to select from
3. Some jobs are regulated in Canada. Do you know, that you need a license for your primary occupation ...--> I selected NO. right?
.
Thanks again,
