A friend of mine has a small IT company and based on projects that he gets he is looking for those skill sets. He is OK with people working from home. Based on how he has setup his firm, he can hire people in Canada and US. The other day we were talking about difficulties for new comers in Canada, especially in looking for a job. It was then we thought that we might have some excellent people who may have just moved to Canada and looking for jobs in their respective field.
About the jobs/s, I cannot share details about payment/s etc but these openings might be short term /long term depending on projects and the best part, for me, WFH would be always an option, atleast most of the times.
The reason that I am asking for CV's to be sent to me first, becuase he wants me to screen them first and save him some effort as it was my idea to connect the dots together. Hopefully it will help someone if not many... Please pass it on to other people who if you are not intersted or belong to some other field..

The interview will be tough, you will be asked to demonstrate problem solving abilities in real world situations.
Requirements:
Responsibilities include:
Web and application programming.
Upkeep and maintenance of existing code.
Utilize new technologies to develop new applications.
Design and code new applications to improve business processes.
Maintain multiple websites for internal and external use.
Proven ability to provide project comments and documentation

Two years experience; college degree helpful. • A Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience; • Minimum of 1-2 years web application development experience using technologies including C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, SQL Server • Analysis for the development and implementation of Web applications using ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, XSL, XSLT, XHTML and SQL Server • Knowledge of Web Services and SOAP/WSDL. • Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience with Transact-SQL, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. • Previous experience with Java, C++, is preferred but not required. • Certifications in web development technologies such as C# or web services preferred, but not required • Strong system design skills with an emphasis on object-oriented design.
