Dear Members,
I am a Canadian PR and want to file a visitor visa for my mother. Problem here is, my mother uses 2 names. Her passport reads her name as "Vidya" whereas my passport reads her name as "Vidya Prabhakar". Would it be an issue?
Additionally, all her other documents (except her passport) like Bank accounts, national identity card (Aadhar), pension card etc reads her name as "Vijaya".
Now, how do I file her TRV application as the name on her passport (Vidya) is different than name in her bank accounts (Vijaya). I understand, we need to provide her bank account statement as "proof of means of financial support" during her visit. Do you think there can be some other way of showing her "proof of means of financial support"? If so, than probably we do not have to mention her name as "Vijaya" anywhere.
Some people say, a simple affidavit, stating that "Vidya, Vidya Prabhakar & Vijaya" are same person should be sufficient. Whereas as per few others, there is no need of even an affidavit. Simply mentioning all these names under "Have you ever used any other name" section of TRV application form, should serve the purpose. I do not want to take a chance and want to get her visitor visa approved in first attempt itself.
Please guide.
