Were your parents Canadian citizen the time you born? If they are then certificate is correct.

No - it's not a mistake. You were a citizen at birth.

Should be Ok. If question arise be honest with them and tell them you thought you weren't citizen until you applied. Hope for the best. :)

CIC says:

You are probably a Canadian citizen if...
you were born in Canada,
you applied for and received your Canadian citizenship (this is called becoming a naturalized citizen),
you received Canadian citizenship as a minor when a parent or legal guardian naturalized you by applying for your citizenship,
you were born outside Canada after April 17, 2009, and at least one of your parents was born in Canada,
you were born outside Canada after April 17, 2009, and at least one of your parents was naturalized in Canada before your birth, or
you became a citizen because of changes to the Citizenship Act.

In short:
If your parents were Canadian when you were born: You are Canadian citizen at birth
If you were born in Canada : You are Canadian citizen by birth

Canadian here means not living in Canada but officially holding citizenship. So check what applies to you. If you applied for citizenship and took oath, that is your date of citizenship.

Mostly they don't make mistakes on this, check with your mother what documentations she send CIC to process your application. That will give you a clue. Anything else is a guess.

Your parents are naturalized Canadians. And you were born after they were naturalized. If that is the case, then you are Canadian. I have no idea what your mother applied for in 2013. I will bet that she applied for your citizenship certificate to prove you are a citizen and you got this and it has your birthdate as the day you became a citizen. If so, then you are fine.

She did not apply for your citizenship, since you are already a Canadian citizen.

She probably applied for your proof of citizenship. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/proof.asp

When you communicate with CIC officials in the future you should not say that you "became" or "took" your Canadian citizenship recently. That's not accurate. You were already a Canadian citizen, even if you didn't know it. You should say that you applied for your proof of citizenship relatively recently and had not previously realized that you were a Canadian citizen. It's important to be as accurate as possible in order to maintain your credibility when dealing with CIC. You also shouldn't say that your parents were not Canadians since they were Canadian citizens (through naturalization).

Unless you are a minor, you must have signed the document. In the future I encourage you to make sure you understand what you're signing since you are legally responsible for it.

Sorry...really sad to know ...

There is no issues with who applied for it. However if asked for explanation (I'm sure..they will not) just say that you got your citizenship certificate in Aprıl 2013 (not became/took citizenship in Aprıl of 2013).

There is nothing to worry here...
