Is transit visa req for Indians travelling via Brussels

Hi,
Can anyone please guide me on this issue.
I am an Indian National on student Visa in Toronto.. I will be travelling back to India Via Brussels.
Do i require any kind of transit Visa.

And when we travel for the first time out of Canada...do we need to again go for the landing document (study permit).
I am having the study permit and visa till aug 2014

1. If stay is longer and you have to leave airport then only you require visa. Otherwise don't
