Is Tourist Visa ok if you are an Express Entry Applicant

Hi!

I have a current application in Express Entry and unfortunately my CRS is not drawn yet, would it be ok if I will apply for a Tourist visa? will it not affect my pending Express entry application? I would just like to visit Canada this Summer.

Yes - you can apply for a tourist visa.

No - this won't impact your Express Entry application.

They will definitely know that you are interested in "immigrating" to Canada and that may raise some questions when you apply for a tourist visa.

I don't think it should, if you have proof that you have a life back in your own country, that you won't just leave behind by doing something silly as attempting to immigrate illegally. Proof being a good job or self-employment with good income, a wife/husband in your home country who are not coming with you on your vacation etc.
