Is TOEFL accepted all over Canada?

My question is simple, as mentioned in the title.
Is TOEFL accepted in Canada?
I understand that it is majorly accepted in the bordering USA, in fact preferred. But is it preferred in Canada as well?
I just find TOEFL easier, quicker & cheaper than IELTS.
If so, what's the minimum acceptable score?

1. Not for Immigration as a PR TOEFL is not accepted, only IELTS Gnereal or CELPIP. If you are applying for study permit, some schools accept TOEFL
