IS THIS TRUE [ticket problem]????

SM1 TOLD ME THAT IF WE GET A LATE VISA ,JUST A WEEK PRIOR TO OUR CLASSES START.......THEN GETTING A TICKET IS VERY DIFFICULT.....HE JUST TOLD ME THAT,THE PRICES OF TICKETS GET DOUBLE.
NOW HERE IS MY QUESTION; NO MATTER IF THE PRICE GOES TRIPLE, CAN WE GET A TICKET A WEEK BEFORE?

It is possible to get ticket but then you will have to go with what is available. Also due to Christmas Holidays and NRI season, as they say it, it will get very difficult to fetch good deal on tickets.

PS. Yes he is absolutely right, a week before classes begin will be difficult let alone costly.

There is a possibility that you might not get a ticket, or you will have to pay in lacs to get one or you will have to go via 2-3 destinations.

The one that I booked for 51k is now selling for 1.02 lacs and its not even November end yet.

Not yet, there are plenty of tickets available yet for Economy and Premium Eco. Only people booking after 10th of December should be worried. There are still MANY tickets available. I have actually booked Premium Economy and there are only 2 airlines offering that and so the prices will rise faster for them.

Your question was about "a week before" and for people who will try to book tickets a week before might face difficulty in getting one. People booking upto or around mid December should be fine depending upon the choice of airlines and class. But options will start narrowing in time passes.

See i m also not sure abt it and am asking that to u guys. My frnd told me yesterday that he booked ticket of Air India for 15th Dec and booking is free. It's called blocking of ticket.....and last date to pay is 24th Nov for it. And he also told me that we can extend the date of ticket. I dont know whther he is serious or kidding..i will have to confirm frm him.

Rest i said this statement becoz' i want to confirm it frm those who already booked and i also want to know is it possible.
