That’s a 2009 article, things have changed a bit, and this is not aimed at international students…
International students who want to work after completion of studies have to adapt to Canada’s way of doing things. You should prepare your resume, learn how to write a cover letter, learn how to job hunt, etc.
The advice is to go for a school that offers career advice and a program that has coop placement.
Please remember that school’s give priority to locals when opportunities are available.
