Hello everyone,

I am a Telecommunication Engineer, graduated from an Electric and Electronic Engineering faculty, and I have been employed by a mobile network consultancy firm called as a 'Customer Support Engineer' for a period of 2 years. My duties were as follows:

• Installation and upgrades of company products
• Maintaining customer relations, issue tracking and resolution of customer complaints with respect to the SLAs.
• Coordination with R&D, Integration and Product departments in order to resolve more complex issues when necessary
• Configuration of company products and back-end processes based on customer needs
• Design, installation and configuration of company's E.T.L. platform
• Design and configuration of data availability checks mechanisms
• Capacity and performance optimization of back-end processes
• Documentation for troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
• Standardization of methods used for data processing and post-processing

Later on I changed my department within the same company and my job title changed to 'Telecommunication Engineer', where my duties are as follows (it has been almost two years in this position now):

• Perform Network KPI Trend Analysis and determine performance deviations
• Worst Cell Identification and Root Cause Analysis
• Perform Parameter Audits and Inconsistency Checks to determine fine tuning suggestions of the mobile network
• Coverage and Footprint Optimization using OSS and Drive Test tools
• Data Throughput Troubleshooting and Optimization
• Investigate drive test logs for initial network tuning, identify optimization rooms and troubleshooting (analyze call flow and layer3 messages)
• Baseband and Radio Resource Capacity Optimization
• Perform parametric optimization for effective load balance between LTE Carriers and existing technologies in accordance with operator strategy
• Tuning of LTE Radio network features
• Understand fundementals of PCI/RSI Planning and Mobility Robustness Optimization and perform planning and optimization tasks related with these topics
• VoLTE Troubleshooting / SIP Analysis
• End-user / customer problem investigation
• Prepare and issue technical guidelines and results of technical studies
• Prepare and issue engineering level and executive-level reports

Based on my education, titles and duties, can I use NOC 2147 Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers) for both designations? The "Network system and data communication engineers" section seems to be a good fit to my both positions.

In CIC's NOC description on NOC 2147, below points are stated:
"Network system and data communication engineers perform some or all of the following duties:
Research, design and develop information and communication system network architecture
Research, evaluate and integrate network system and data communication hardware and software
Assess, document and optimize the capacity and performance of information and communication system networks
May lead and co-ordinate teams of design professionals in the development and integration of information and communication system architecture, hardware and software."

Can I use it for both designations?

Thanks.
