We met on my birthday (at a BBQ)- July 29, 2011 and from there we started. We dated. And on April 21, 2012 we got married. Is this a short dating period. Also, her mom and her step dad they opted not to be a part of the wedding because they believed she should have gotten married to a more financially esstablished person. And besides we didnt use a consultant. We just sat down wrote our situation. We provided them with letters from our friends, photos from wedding and reception, plus bridal tour. there were about 10 persons at the wedding. We sent in photos of honeymoon in Niagara Falls. We sent in rent lease, joint bank account, congrats cards addressed to both of us, insurance, letter from landlord, letters addressed to us postmarked. We are not afraid of an interview but dont need one. Please speak to me all you lovel people

I don't see any red flags with your situation, as long as your relationship is real, you have nothing to worry about. Good luck!

That good proof. (I read some of your other posts.) Did you tell them your wife is pregnant too?

Depending your nationality, you can expect to be interviewed or not. Also depends on your religion/wife's religion (if they are the same, less of a chance), ethnic background (again, if they are the same, less of a chance for the interview), and education level (the closer they are, the less of a chance for an interview).

PS: I'm not asking you to share this with us unless you want to. Just giving my opinion.

Also - you're applying inland and currently living with your spouse if I understand correctly, so that's an added proof - to me it looks like it should not be too difficult - but of course, only CIC can confirm that!
Good luck,

Seems good and I don't see any redflags...

What's the nationality of the sponsored person anyway? And is the sponsor a born Canadian, or born in the same country of the sponsored person?

Thanks everyone for you support. Shes 30 yrs (my sponsor) and I am 26 yrs (applicant). Thats not a big deal but we still explained to CIC. She was born here in Canada and I was born in Jamaica. But she lived in Jamaica when she was a child. In fact her parents are from there. We have the same cultural belief. We are Christians. we have the same ambitions. I have a bachelors degree and she has a diploma, but she is working on completing her degree just now. We explained all of this to cic. including why her parents were not at the wedding

seems like you have very similar background/age/education etc, and with an inland application on-going, you'll be fine! :) sit back, relax, and hang in there for a while - Inland is a lengthy process, but at least you're together, so it should be all good!

with the reduction in the number of months it takes for stage 1, do you believe the entire process could be completed in a year? Also, the consultant that I was going to use is a past CIC supervisor. She told me that my case is a straight forward cases and would be finalized within a year. Do you add any credence to this? I dont see why there should background checks again because i had to submit one when coming to Canada 2 yrs ago. I never left Canada since then.

I can not predict what CIC will do! :) ( if that was the case, i would start playing lottery and become rich!).... I do agree that you seem to have a pretty straightforward case, and if your application is well prepared, and complete with all documents, then it will make the decision easier once it is open.... It seems that CIC has been working faster, sending AOR almost systematically : if you look at the december and January spreadsheet for outland for example, you will see that most people got an AOR and quite a few are done within 20 to 25 days for stage 1 - that's an improvement compared to last year where almost nobody got an AOR and it took about 3 months to get stage 1 done...same for inland - quite a few people got an AOR within a month of sending their application, and I have seen some people on the forum on inland getting stage 1 done in 4 months (instead of 6 predicted). So - a year is possible, but not guaranteed!
Good luck,
Sweden

It sounds to me like you have a pretty straightforward case. No big red flags. Congrats on the baby!

IMO.....it sounds to me like your case is quite simple and should not have any issues. It looks like you have more than enough supporting evidence but perhaps did not include it with your application?? I make this comment b/c when fandv asked more questions there was a lot of good supporting information you answered with but wasn't in your original post at the bottom of this thread. Now please keep in mind I did not read any of your other posts and am making this comment under the assumption that your first post on this thread matched closely to your application. If all the extra information (even items such as Sweden suggested like inland equating to living together) was in your application then all seems gr8.

Either way wish you success. My point in writing this response is for you and other people to remember not to make CIC guess and don't make them drag information out of you. on this thread when fandv asked certain questions we got more info. is CIC having to do that or did you give all that info up front? we don't need an answer here but i hope it provokes some helpful thoughts and ideas for you and/or others.

sweden - if you do figure out a lotto system, pls don't forget us little people ;)
cheers

@ CanadaNow,

Yes I did include all of that information I just relayed in our application to CIC, including how and where we proposed and why the marriage took place under one year of meeting each other. We also had a bunch of photos in the house with us cooking, doing laundry, working out, babysitting, playing music etc.

Sweden, please let me know about the lottery thing. I wish I didnt have to work this hard. CanadaNow, I wish you all the bet in your application.
