My mom arrived in Canada on Mar 13th and she will be leaving on Sep 13th. Upon her entry, the officer stamped her passport but didn't put a date in it. I've read that if the officer left it blank, it means that the visitor can stay up to 6 months. Now my question is, do you think my mom is still within the 6 months allowable stay or not?

P.S.
That is how the travel agent booked my mom's flight. They either choose a ticket for 6 months or a year.

No stamp = 6 months, unless he gives you a visitor record, in which you have to leave by the date on the visitor record.

Thanks mikeymyke. So do you think the duration of Mar 13th to Sep 13th is considered 6 months? I am worried that she will be considered overstaying 'cause the way I look 6 months for my mom's case is Mar 13th to Sep 12th. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

An easy way to tell if 6 months, find out the date of arrival, determine what day of the week it is: (Monday, Tuesday), then fast forward 6 months later and select the date you think is on the 6th month, and make sure that date is the same day of the week as your date of arrival
