I am residing in Canada right now and it's not possible for me to go to the States to get the fingerprinting done.
Is there any private sector in Canada through which I can get this done?

Sure - it's easy to do from Canada.

Which city do you live in?

Absolutely. I've had it done in Canada twice. L-1 Fingerprinting has services in several major Canadian cities, but they're hardly the only service. Many police departments will also do them for you, although I've found they are more expensive.

Last time I did it (December 2011) I paid $35 for the fingerprints on a card. Then you can mail that in to the FBI.

Wow, thank you so much for all your fast replies.
I live in Edmonton, Alberta.

Btw, do I need one for each of my family members--my husband, son(age 21), and me? or just the primary applicant?

Sorry about the stupid question.
Thanks a lot in advance : )

You need to send the FBI report of the person who has resided in US for 6 months and was over 18yrs of age.
