Just like many others, I also applied on July 11th with the hope that I would get a canadian student visa for September intake. There are no updates so far except the medicals which got approved on August 11. Here, people are posting of visa approvals within 5 days when they applied on August 31st for January 2018 intake.
What kind of visa system is Canada's? If there is a fair system (like US), they could have called us for interview instead of keeping everybody in the dark. I read posts where people apply for student visa and getting work visa instead or visa approval and not getting passport etc. When I emailed the embassy, got a generic reply that they got lots of applications. If they don't have people to check the application, why do they urge people to apply. They could have a cut-off after a certain limit instead of keeping passports and making the applicants fools. It seems like this is a scam of the highest degree. I would be losing one year because of this. My courses have only Fall uptake.
