Is there a digital photo requirement in the document checklist?

Is it required post ITA , when doing my submission when i am submitting everything.
Or is it required later on?

Yes it is required during final submission for both Principle applicant and Dependents.

But is it required right now when i am submitting my LOE,POF,ReferenceLetters etc.?
Because from the pdf what i infer is that it must be printed on paper.
Right now i only have option to scan and upload.

Should i get the photographs and then submit the scan of front and back of the photograph?

Yes it is required right now but only scanned or digital copy of pictures. The reference is given about the specification of picture and neglect the printing parts. You can find more information in Document checklist (Help button under Picture upload field)
