I have two passports: one is for public affairs (usually in China we can have two, depend on the reason you go abroad) and one is private passport (the common one). But anyway, they are the same for CIC. Now I lost one passport with a valid visa on it, and a valid work permit with the passport number.
1. I want to know if the work permit still valid?
2. If I go back to China, can I re-enter into Canada with another passport, and photocopies of the lost passport and visa?
3. If not, that means I have to apply for a new visa. But I have all the travel records related to Canada on the lost passport. Does that affect the application? Can I apply a new visa inside Canada in this case because I entered into Canada using the lost passport?
Which type should I apply for, extend a visa or just apply a new visa? Apply for the visa, I need to submit the work permit, does the work permit with the passport number of the lost one work？
