Is the machine readable Passport must needed for entering Canada? I have got my visa on my old system Passport (hand written) which is not machine readable. In Bangladesh machine readable system has started recently. Bangladeshi seniors pls share your opinion.

They stamped the VISA on your hand written passport ,it means its acceptable.

Rightly said.....Not necessarily one need to have MRP....for landing...

It is not necessary. On PPR, they demand certain informations must be appearing on Passport. If the manual passport fullfills those requirements, machine readable is not required.

But it is advised to go for the machine readable pp once you get an opportunity for it as few many countries accept only this type.
