is the "ECAS in progress (Status)" means it is coming soon ? or it is just random.

You mean Education Credential Verification? if this is the one then It means that they are verifying your degree and generally they take 2 weeks.

There is no ECAS in progress. ECAS can be Recieved or In Process etc.

At the bottom of a page there s an explanation what In Process means. Cant give u more that this caz for each stream is different processing time.

I meant when you go to:

the first page says: "In progress". So my question is does it say it is near to get the decision made ? or not.

Also, I have 4 lines, and I did notice everyone is stating the number of lines, so I am not sure if does it mean something, or it is just random your number of lines ...

I dont think its in progress???it must be in process..it depends when did you submit your app...nowadys applicant has in process from the beginning..

Yes he means in process simply mistake guys .. By soon how much is soon? Lol my in process started almost 3 weeks ago will be 3 week on Wednesday and I have had no updates email or nothing and I am cec inland on lmia so I guess it all depends on agent

ECAS timelines are generally as follows & they don't always sync up with updates/progress in myCIC:

In Process (submission)
Application Received (usually when meds are passed)
In process (when CIC starts working on application)
Decision Made (usually followed by PPR in about a 2-week window)

before it use to be app received along with medical update..but recent days..even medical is there..in process is still there until DM..

Yes, but after observing many people's timeline, I did notice that after the ECAS In process, they got the DM right away and in less than 5 weeks, because it takes time to get the ECAS in process for candidates, taht was the conclusions.

but who knows ...
