I'm trying to get more points by studying French and getting at least 1 point in each of the second language catergory (basic proficiency) rather than just a bunch of zeros.
Before I plunge good money into this investment I would like to ask you guys if TEF is well, I'm not expecting it too be overly easy but at least managable and passable for a beginner in french. Alliance Francaise tells me that I need to take till Intermediate Level in their classes before I'm prepped to take TEF. I'm a bit worried because I havent read anything about TEF or anyone taking it. And there's no point reading the sample exam papers since I cant read french just yet.
If not I guess I'll just have to wait and gain another year of working experience.

It is definitely worth taking if you intend to live in Canada, plus it is one more language for you.
But you should now that it will take you some time to get to the intermediate level and TEF is harder than you think (French is a lot harder than English) but I guess if you write your name on the TEF quiz (there is 6 of them) you'll earn a few points.
