Hi
I've been admitted to Concordia's MBA program and plan to move to Montreal in the summer with my family. The enormity of the move and the uncertainty is starting to weigh on me - there are so many stages to go through.
I'm currently waiting for CAQ approval but then after that have to apply and await study permit approval. In the meantime, I'm wondering whether I should start preparing of the move in case the approvals do not come through - 4 months to pack up kids and move countries is already a short period of time. I should hear about the CAQ in a few weeks and if positive would like to start preparations then.
So my question is...is the federal study permit a formality once a CAQ has been issued (assuming that we have clean criminal and medical records)? Has anyone here been refused a permit visa despite having been granted a CAQ and what was the reason.
Also I am unsure how to show ties to my home country as we will be moving with husband and kids and currently do not own property in home country. I do have investments in my home country and also have professional and family (siblings and elderly mother) ties.
